Ocean City Maryland Tuna Fishing
Trolling in the Canyons off Ocean City Maryland is an adventure like none other. You never know what you are going to see. Whales, Two Tone Dolphin, Sunfish, Sea Turtles and more are swimming around. The clean blue water provides great opportunity for a large game fish like tuna, marlin and wahoo. Leaving the Talbot Street Pier early is a must so that we can get to the grounds and put in a full day of fishing. The adventures inshore are equally exciting. Our inshore trolling offers anglers a shot at a true mixed bag. We see plenty of Dolphin, Albacore, Bluefish, Bonita, King Mackerel and even Tuna. The trips are shorter runs and are often fishing a green water. Don’t worry, you still have a good opportunity to see a host of marine creatures…whales, bottlenose dolphins and sea turtles are plentiful.
Tuna Fishing Charters & Marlin Fishing: What to Expect
During our trolling trips we once again steam from the Talbot Street Pier through the OC Maryland inlet either before or at sunrise. Using the previous days catch information, satellite imagery and Captain Jeff’s close knit network we head off to our starting area and get on the troll. The Ole Fifty Footer lets us fish a large spread specifically set up for your targeted species. Once we find the fish, the action can get real hot. Out crew will hook the fish and get you situated in a fighting harness or into our chair. Larger fish require us to clear our lines and sometimes chase the fish down, it doesn’t get more exciting backing down on a jumping marlin. If we are lucky enough to get into a school of dolphin your arms will be on fire by the time the bite is over. We will land all the fish the regulations allow for you to bring home to the table. Unless we are tournament fishing a kill tournament we will release all billfish, except the tasty swordfish…they will stay for dinner.
